THREADED HOT TAPPING SADDLES
Description and benefits
Threaded hot tapping saddles have been designed to create branches in under-pressure water supply networks, avoiding losses and the need to cut the supply.
The available sizes are ¾”, 1”, 1¼”, 1½” and 2”, and they can be installed on polyethylene, PVC, fibre cement and ductile iron pipes with a nominal diameter from 60 to 350mm.
The main advantage of the OPTIMQ under-pressure saddles is their rotary shut-off blade system that cuts off the water flow once the pipe has been drilled, to install the connection avoiding any type of leak during the process. The saddle is fitted with an anchoring point on which to fasten the blade allowing for rotation, making the insertion and the extraction much easier with minimum effort. Once the blade has been inserted in the saddle, the tightness of the assembly is guaranteed by means of a seal system that prevents dripping and leaks.
