Description and advantages

PE outlet size-on-size hot tapping saddles are a world première, as they allow creating branches, bypass and connections in under-pressure water networks, on pipes with the same diameter as the branch connection.

Manufactured in two sizes: with PE90 and PE110 outlet. They can be installed on PE, PVC, fibre cement and ductile iron pipes

All OPTIMQ hot tapping saddles are fitted with a rotary blade system to shut-off the water outlet after the pipe has been drilled, thus avoiding leaks during the connection process.

Technical features

Saddle sizes PE90 and PE110.
Compatible with PE, PVC-O, ductile iron and fibre cement pipes.
“Size on size” saddles with PE90 outlet can be installed on 80 nominal diameter ductile iron pipes, on 90 and 110mm PE pipes and on 80 nominal diameter fibre cement pipes.
“Size on size” saddles with PE110 outlet can be installed on 100 nominal diameter ductile iron pipes, on 110 and 125mm PE pipes and on 100 nominal diameter fibre cement pipes.

Maximum working pressure: 16bars
Manufactured according to European standard EN545.

Materials

Ductile cast saddle body, blue epoxy-coating certified for drinking water. Epoxy-coating thickness between 250 and 500 microns.
PE pipe PE100 SDR11 certified for drinking water.
8.8 grade steel screws and nuts with Geomet ® coating.
EPDM rubber joint according to EN 681-1 standard for water pipelines.
Straps made of AISI 305 stainless steel and insulating EPDM rubber profile in blue.
The steel straps studs are made of A2 stainless steel and the nuts are made of A4 stainless steel.
