Description and advantages
Polyethylene outlet hot tapping saddles are a world première, as they allow creating branches in under-pressure water networks by means of electrically weldable accessories or mechanical fastening without the need of threaded fittings.
They are manufactured in two different sizes: PE32 and PE50, which can be fitted with reducers to make PE25, PE40 and PE63mm connections as well. They are installed on polyethylene, PVC, fibre cement and ductile iron pipes with a nominal diameter from 60 to 350mm.
The OPTIMQ PE outlet hot tapping saddle consists of a body made of ductile cast and an outlet pipe of PE. The saddle is fastened to the pipe by means of a simple strap made of 50×1.5mm stainless steel coated with a rubber profile that insulates and improves the adherence to the pipe.

The straps are made in different lengths covering a pipe range from 60mm in ductile iron to 400mm in PE or PVC. The saddle is fastened to the strap by means of studs which are fitted with a double-nut system that avoids thread-galling during the installation process.
All of the straps are compatible with the different saddle sizes, thus reducing the investment in assets and the space occupied in the warehouse.
The OPTIMQ PE outlet hot tapping saddle is fitted with a rotary blade system that cuts off the water flow once the pipe has been drilled, to perform the installation of the connection leak-free.
The saddle is fitted with an anchoring point on which to place the blade, allowing for rotation, to make the insertion and the extraction quickly and easy. There are neither drippings nor leaks while the blade is inserted in the saddle, thanks to a system of inner seals that guarantees the tightness of the assembly.
We have drilling kits, as well as HDT drilling tools and Classic drilling devices to drill the pipes under pressure, under optimal working and safety conditions.
