Description and benefits
Flanged hot connectors can be installed on flanged accessories and thus enable interventions in networks under hydraulic pressure, without disrupting supply and without water losses.
They are manufactured in 2 sizes, DN80 and DN100, and their main advantage is that they are compatible with any accessory with a flanged DIN connection, thus making interventions in under-pressure pipelines much easier.
They are especially useful as complements for clamp-type saddles turning them into hot tapping saddles to make connections and branches in under-pressure networks.

They are also recommended for the installation of fire hydrants, where the use of shut-off valves is not allowed. The installation of the flange-flange connector allows making later repairs or replacing the hydrant without the need to cut the water supply in the network.
The OPTIMQ flanged hot connectors have a sealing system by means of a rotary blade that avoids water leaks. The blade is fixed on an anchoring point of the connector which makes it rotate to insert and extract it much easier, so that it is handled with a minimum effort.
Once the blade has been inserted there are neither drippings nor leaks thanks to the water tightness of the assembly, which is secured by means of an internal seal system in both directions.
